My approach to teaching guitarMy aim is to give you all the skills to learn and enjoy the guitar by yourself. It could be that you want to play Metal, Old Classics or Bluegrass. With the skills you learn it is up to you where you take it. I focus on teaching you how to jam and improvise rather than spending long periods learning songs note by note.

Fretboard TheoryA bit of theory goes a long way. I will introduce theory only when it is needed and always keep it relevant for the guitar. Doing it this way keeps it fun and stops the student getting overwhelmed at the beginning. Many great players say they don't know theory but when you play with them they have picked up a lot without realising. I will give you all the essentials so you can play with anyone.
